About Liam
Liam Given is an indie musician and songwriter who’s been making music for most of his life, and it comes through in the way he approaches everything. His songs are built on time and making something that feels smooth and lived-in, and production that keeps a bit of edge instead of being overly cleaned up. There’s a balance between intention and looseness, where things feel thought-out but still natural, like this bio.
He’s spent years writing, recording, and playing live, figuring things out as he goes rather than trying to fit into a specific lane. Most songs start as quick voice memos, others get built out in sessions, but either way, the goal stays the same: make something that actually feels like something real. That mindset carries into both his solo work and the projects he’s part of.
Alongside his solo music, Liam is one half of Far From It with drummer Beckham White. The project leans more into a full-band sound; bigger, louder, and more collaborative, while still keeping the same core focus on making something that sounds good. Their debut album, to be released under all three names, is set to come out in July 2026 and marks a shift into something more fully realized as a band.
Around the same time, he’ll be heading out on the mini “Isn’t Now the Time?” tour, playing a mix of solo material and band songs. The live side of things is a big part of what he does, and the focus is less on putting on a rigid show and more on making it feel real in the moment.
A lot of his creative process is tied to where he is. He spends a good amount of time in Park City, Utah, and being somewhere quieter, with mountains, space, and time to think, has had a real impact on how his music sounds.
Outside of music, Liam is heavily into filmmaking and photography. He shoots all of his own visual content, and that hands-on approach carries across everything he makes. The same attention to feeling and detail that goes into his songs ends up shaping how things look, too, so it all feels connected.
At the end of the day, he’s just trying to make something that feels personal and just right.
Some recent venues Liam has played at solo/with bands, include Park City Song Summit 2025, Miner's Park, Park City Library, Summit County Fair, ATL Hot Sauce Festival, Aisle 5, The Loft, Madlife, O'Shucks Bar & Grill, Red Light Café, and he has performed consistently at the Park Silly Sunday Market for the past 6 years, which draws over 15,000 people every day.
